Medium grade magnesia is produced from lightly burned magnesium oxide with a MgO content of 97% through processes such as ball pressing and high-temperature vertical kiln calcination. Electric fused magnesia is made by melting selected grade A natural magnesite or high-purity light burned magnesium particles in an electric arc furnace. This product has the characteristics of high purity, large crystalline particles, dense structure, strong slag resistance, good thermal shock stability, and is an excellent high-temperature electrical insulation material. It is also an important raw material for producing high-end magnesium bricks, magnesium carbon bricks, and amorphous refractory materials.

Raw materials for producing magnesia

The main raw material for producing magnesia refractory materials is magnesia, which refers to sintered magnesia with a certain particle composition. It is made by crushing sintered magnesia. Sintered magnesite can be obtained by calcining Magnesite.
